"I cannot say enough about this Inn. Elizabeth is the sweetest and most accommodating host at a B&B that we have met. The Inn is truly amazing! It is decorated beautifully. There is a wonderful sunroom, an outdoor deck, exquisite and welcoming decor, bedding that was beyond comfortable and more. My husband and I decided to have dinner at the Inn, Elizabeth offering a Chef's table - a 6 course meal prepared by a chef that was above and beyond our expectations. Breakfast was also served in courses and was delicious. I can't say enough about our stay. We were blown away. Absolutely Wonderful stay!"

"This makes my bucket list to share with all of my friends and family of things you need to experience in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan). The rooms are clean, comfortable, themed rooms with luxury bed linens that you will love to climb into. The gourmet dining experience was a highlight with Chef Joshua, a former Wolfgang Puck chef who blends cuisine beautifully. Our host and proprietor Elizabeth Douglas is full of energy, kind, personable and ready to help in any way but knows when to give you some privacy at the end of a busy day. The small town of Manistique is full of fantastic gift shops, an art gallery, antiques, day spa, movies, and the famous e 2 mile boardwalk leading to the lighthouse where you can view incredible sunrises and sunsets!"

The Blue Mystique was a top shelf experience. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and are so glad we did. From the second we arrived, Elizabeth made sure we had all we needed and showed us around the house. We enjoyed wine on the patio before our Chef’s Table dinner which was phenomenal. I can’t say enough about how amazing it was. The courses were so diverse and paired so well with the wine we were suggested to bring. Chef Josh didn’t leave anything undone. We are already talking about going back in the Fall. The cherry was a great breakfast made by Elizabeth the next morning. So if you want a top notch dining experience in a beautiful, old house, this is your place. It’s a new favorite of ours.

My wife and I stayed here for our birthday weekend. We had a last minute opportunity to get away for a night, and called to see if there was a chance to get a reservation. Elizabeth was so accommodating and opened up a room for us after a last minute cancelation, and even managed to call Chef Josh and get us in for a chef's table dinner! Dinner was phenomenal, and most importantly the hospitality was on point! We will definitely be back, and I can't recommend this B&B high enough! As someone that spent many years in hospitality, I can say with authority that Blue Mystique Inn is a gem.
Wow 5 stars all around for my time at the Blue Mystique Inn! The host Liz was so accommodating and responsive, I really felt so at ease and comfortable there, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to for a great place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable , and I especially enjoyed the fantastic views out to the Marina and Lake Michigan. The Inn works great for a solo traveler or couple, but could just as easily host a large group.
One thing that took my experience to that next level was the private Chef Joshua that prepared an out of this world multi course dinner that I’ll never forget! If you’re looking to add an unforgettable experience to an already great stay, I’d recommend reaching out to Liz about a package deal with dinner And lodging. Breakfast was great too, a delicious quiche, strawberries and banana bread with a few cups of coffee hit the spot and set me up for my day. Thank you Liz for your hospitality, highly recommend!
Absolutely phenomenal stay at the Blue Mystique with Liz! The house is stunning: clean, cozy, welcoming, spacious, well-decorated. I felt very safe there as a solo female. It is within walking distance of restaurants in Manistique and right across from a lovely boardwalk. Liz was also incredible to work with: she accommodated me needing a last-minute booking, and served a great breakfast! I enjoyed my time there and would definitely return.
